Our House Welcomes Terri Tubbs as Chief Development Officer

ATLANTA—September 11, 2025— Our House, Inc., a leading Atlanta-area nonprofit providing housing, early childhood education, healthcare, and workforce development to families experiencing or at risk of homelessness, welcomes Terri Tubbs as its new Chief Development Officer (CDO).

Tubbs succeeds Diane Douglass, who served as Chief Development Officer for Our House for more than eight years and was instrumental in building a strong foundation of philanthropic and corporate support. Tubbs’ appointment ensures continued momentum for the organization’s fundraising and community engagement efforts amidst growing demand for Our House programs.

As CDO, Tubbs will lead fundraising growth, strengthen corporate and philanthropic partnerships, and elevate brand visibility to expand Our House’s impact across metro Atlanta. Serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO and an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team, she will guide all fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies while strengthening a culture of philanthropy that fuels long-term impact.

“Terri brings deep expertise and a proven record of forging transformative partnerships that fuel sustainable growth,” said Tyese Lawyer, Chief Executive Officer of Our House. “Her leadership will build on a strong established foundation, ensuring that Our House continues to meet the urgent needs of families while advancing our long-term vision for stability and self-sufficiency.”

With more than two decades of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, Tubbs has supported service and advocacy organizations nationwide, including LaAmistad, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Development for the Boys and Girls Club of Lanier, where she designed innovative programs, secured strategic funding, and implemented sustainable growth strategies.

At Our House, Tubbs will steward major donor relationships, manage the Fundraising and Marketing Committee of the Board, and champion initiatives that align with the organization’s strategic goals.

“I am honored to join Our House at such a critical moment,” said Tubbs. “Together, we will build stronger partnerships, mobilize our community, and create lasting opportunities for families across Atlanta. I look forward to partnering with our incredible team and dedicated supporters to expand the resources, relationships, and opportunities that will transform lives and strengthen families for generations to come.”

Tubbs holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI’s Fundraising School. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a former board member of the Global Alliance for Africa.
