Every donation we receive—small or large—is a generous gift and critical to our success. Your financial contribution enables us to give families experiencing homelessness the tools, support and education they need to thrive.
Planned gifts allow donors to create a lasting legacy. While these contributions can take the shape of cash or securities, they are most commonly given as will bequests, charitable trusts, or gift annuities. A planned gift can provide essential educational support for a child facing homelessness, along with healthcare and stability for a family in need. Such contributions not only highlight the donor’s generosity but also help secure a sustainable future for Our House.
For more information or help setting up a planned gift to Our House please contact us at development@ourhousega.org.
Many Our House donors make contributions in the form of appreciated securities. By doing this, you can avoid all capital gains taxes. Also, if you have held your stock or real estate for 12 months or longer, you will receive a charitable deduction for its full value.
Please Note:
When using wire transfer methods for stock, our financial institution is not informed of the donor. Please contact our office to inform us of the transfer, so that we may send acknowledgements promptly. To give appreciated securities or real estate, please tell your broker how many shares you want to contribute to Our House. Your broker will need this information to complete the transfer:
