Shelter

Our Housing Services program provides shelter for families with at least one child under five, located in the City of Atlanta. The 76-bed facility offers private rooms for families of 2-7 members, with daily meals, laundry services, and weekly infant and personal care items. Residents also receive free childcare, job training, case management, and participate in weekly education, life-skills activities, and an income-savings program. The goal is to help families secure stable housing and employment.

Note: Our House is not an emergency shelter and does not provide immediate intake. Please follow the guidelines below.

Eligibility:

  • Families must have at least one child, 5 years or younger.
  • Parents must complete a criminal background check and provide TB test results.

Rapid Rehousing

Rapid Rehousing quickly connects homeless families to permanent housing by offering financial assistance, case management, and housing identification tailored to each family’s needs. The goal is to reduce homelessness by addressing financial barriers and ensuring long-term housing stability.

Our House partners with agencies like the United Way, DeKalb County, the City of Atlanta, and Partners for Home to provide these services to families in DeKalb County and Atlanta.

  • Financial assistance for move in costs
  • Individualized case management
  • Referrals for housing, employment and mental health services
  • Regular education workshops

Coordinated entry is through the Gateway Center. You must call them first before you can receive Our House’s Rapid Rehousing Services.
